Surroundings
Vence is a small peaceful town in the central Cote d'Azur of the southern France.
It is ideally situated for exploration of the surrounding area. Distance is about 15 minutes from Nice airport and 15 km from the Mediterranean.
Vence is a medieval town, where the old town centre has been preserved, with its narrow crooked streets, fountains and cosy restaurants.

Every tuesday the town centre is transformed into a traditional Provence market, where one can buy almost anything.

In the town you will find many fascinating historical buildings. We recommend a visit to Chapelle du Rosaire,
decorated by Matisse. From the top of Col de Vence (970 m) there is a unique view over the Alps and down the mountains
to the Mediterranean.
